Job summary

We are looking to employ a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Arts Therapist or other Health Care Professional, wishing to specialise in the delivery of structured psychological therapies, to work within the Personality Disorder Service provided by Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

The Personality Disorder Service is an integrated service, made up of a Community Team (providing adapted Structured Clinical Management), a Therapies Team, and a Liaison Team (working with colleagues in acute, crisis, primary care, and young people's services).

Main duties of the job

This post is located within the Therapies Team, which consists of three treatment streams: Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy for Personality Disorder.

Experience

  • Experience in working with people with severe and complex mental health problems, especially patients with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder.

  • Experience of the application of psychologically informed case management in different cultural contexts.

  • Having a strong interest in working in the field of personality disorder.
  • Capacity to work calmly and thoughtfully when addressing traumatic psychological issues.
