CONSULTANT: SPECIAL CARE DENTISTRY
Salary: £99,532 - £131,964
Post: 10 sessions
Location: Horton Park Clinic
We are seeking the appointment of an enthusiastic candidate for a substantive Consultant post working for the Community Dental Service. The available post is for 10 sessions but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job share are encouraged to apply.
Your role will have responsibility for providing specialist dental advice and treatment for adults with a disability and /or complex medical conditions. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, the successful candidate will contribute to leadership of the team and to on-going innovation and development within the service. You will work closely with our Management Team, Consultants and Specialists within the service and support the local Managed Clinical Network. The candidate must be committed to post-graduate training in the specialty.
Your enthusiasm, commitment and team-working skills will be key to meet the various challenges currently facing community dentistry.

Main duties of the job
Participation in the planning, development, delivery, and monitoring of a comprehensive and holistic special care dental service for adults with complex needs and/or disability in partnership with the Clinical Director, Community Strategic Lead, and the services other Consultant in Special Care Dentistry
Clinical Lead for specified aspects of special care dentistry for adults in Bradford
Delivery of specialist care for residents of Bradford and the surrounding areas
Engagement with the Special Care Dentistry Managed Clinical Network
Support the emerging programme of work from the West Yorkshire Community Dental Service Collaborative.
Work with the Community Strategic Lead- Community Dental Service to ensure the needs of our service users are met
Leadership, management, and development of colleagues
