Main duties of the job
- Job Purpose:
As a member of the Backfill mobile cleaning team, you are required to complete healthcare cleaning duties and housekeeping duties within Estates & Facilities ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is attained across Trust sites.
Responsible for providing an efficient and effective cleaning service in compliance with the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, service users, staff members, and visitors to ensure a comfortable and caring environment within Trust sites across Bradford and Airedale.

Cleaning Responsibilities:
- To provide healthcare cleaning within all areas (patient, staff and visitor) to include but not limited to, wards, communal areas, offices, departments, non-clinical areas.
- To follow National Colour Coding in line with infection prevention and control guidance.
- To ensure safe use and storage of materials to meet health and safety regulations and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Flexible working pattern Working at BDCFT Trust Sites on a three-week rotation, including early morning and evening shifts.
- Assume responsibility for task carried out through mobile devices.
- The purpose of this service is to provide minimal estates cleaning services.
- General cleaning of small fixtures and fittings
- To adhere to safe working practices as outlined in Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) procedures.
- To assist with the removal of bodily fluids and clean-up process as and when required in accordance with Infection Prevention guidelines.
