Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment post as a band 6 learning disability nurse within the Craven Children's Learning Disability Team.

This post provides a diverse experience combining supporting young people and their families/ carers in the home or school setting. This post also requires leadership responsibilities for the Craven Children's Learning Disability Team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide specialist health and behaviour assessments to individuals referred to the Children's Learning Disability team. Interventions will be delivered across different settings including the person's home.

There will be a requirement to liaise with parents, partners and stakeholders to ensure responsive, effective, safe and person centred services are delivered.

The role will involve service development across the Children's Learning Disability service and the supervision and management of staff in the Children's Learning Disability Team.
