Job summary
We are looking to recruit Trainee CBT Therapists within the MyWellbeing IAPT service. As part of this role, you will be expected to attend University 2 days per week atUniversity of Hull, working with clients on the other days you are in work.You will be expected to complete university assignments and submit practical tapes for supervision.For more details visit PGDip High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy | University of Hull
The university course starts 6th March so you must be able to start employment with the service on this date.
Applicants who have already been interviewed December 2022, should not apply.
You will need to have one of the following qualifications.
- Degree level qualification (relevant mental health subject is preferable) or
- Core Profession Qualificationor
- Low Intensity CBT Qualification (PWP), with 2 years post qualification experience
Please note: candidates who do not have a core professional background and qualification are also welcome and encouraged to apply and will need to provide a completed KSA portfolio at interview. A KSA portfolio has a number of criteria which must all be met by every applicant. There are some backgrounds which mean that the applicant has already met a number of the criteria and can therefore provide a condensed KSA. Other backgrounds mean that applicants must complete all of the sections.

Candidates from a core professional background should demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Candidates from a non-registered professional background will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience alongside their ability to meet the relevant criteria outlined in the KSA.
A partially completed portfolio should be presented at interview with statements included for all sections. Supporting evidence and signatures will not be required at interview.
Previous enrolment on a funded CBT training course
Repetition of training is not supported if the candidate has completed a funded training programme and failed.
Candidates who have previously withdrawn from a funded course will be considered only upon receipt of an academic reference from the original University. This reference must indicate that the individual's withdrawal was due to clear extenuating circumstances which would suggest that a repetition of training would be good use of public money.
Candidates who have previously withdrawn from a funded CBT course should bring the following information to the interview:
- Name of the institution attended
- Name of the course
- Departmental name/ contact number and email for the course
