Job summary

The role of Health Visiting Assistant has been developed to support the health visiting teams with various administrative workstreams that are essential to ensure the smooth running of the service. This includes the planning and allocation of work, arranging appointments and diary management. It is a liaison role between the families and the staff, dealing with enquiries and signposting to relevant professionals. You will be key member of a dedicated health visiting team for Bradford District Care Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Health Visitor Assistant will support the health visiting teams by undertaking clerical and clinical duties as directed, to support the delivery of the health visiting service to children and young people and families.

The post holder will work under the direction of the team leaders, using their skills and expertise to ensure safe and effective delivery of the health visiting service.

They will work with local statutory, private and voluntary providers, and service users to develop and promote practice that is accessible and responsive to all sections of the local community, ensuring that services are targeted, and work is prioritised.

The health visitor assistant is responsible for completing appropriate delegated tasks and escalating any risks or concerns.
