Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a systemic family psychotherapist to join a full recruited well established children and young people's community eating disorders service hosted by Bradford Aire Wharfe Craven CAMHS. The successful applicant will join a 13.5 equivalent multi disciplinary team including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, CBT therapy, mental health practitioner and associate practitioner roles. We have a close working relationship with our paediatric colleagues who support with in patient re feeding when necessary. The family therapy FT AN, FT BN approach is at our core and we also offer a parent group, adjunct therapies, neurodevelopmental assessment and medication initiation and monitoring.

Main duties of the job

  • Work as an effective member of the multi disciplinary team bringing psychological theory and knowledge to the wider team via joint work, consultation, reflective spaces, supervision and team formulations.
  • Work with autonomous professional judgement, together with other psychological therapists, to deliver specialist evidence based assessment, formulation and therapy to individual and groups of patients.
  • Manage a designated caseload of patients with responsibility for their assessment (including clinical risk), implementation and evaluation of therapy.

  • Specialist post graduate training to Masters level in Systemic Family Therapy (MSc) AND Accreditation from Association of Family Therapists (AFT)

Desirable

  • Leadership training

  • Training in trauma informed care
