Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a new and exciting challenge to develop your skills within an inpatient mental health care setting? As part of a development in service provision fantastic opportunity has arisen for a for a full-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team at Airedale Centre for Mental Health.
The opportunity is based on Heather ward, an acute psychiatric ward, caring for females aged 18-65 who are experiencing acute mental illness.
Main duties of the job
The new provision will incorporate a 7-day service with shift working to enhance the therapeutic offer for service users, and will include a combination of the following hours:
- Early Shift- 07:30 - 15:30
- Mid Shift- 09:00 - 17:00
- Late Shift- 12:00 - 20:00
As a senior occupational therapist, you will complete comprehensive assessments of functional ability, deliver individualised treatment plans and support recovery and transition from hospital to home. You will work collaboratively with the wider MDT both on the ward and in the community. In addition you will be responsible for the support and development of the occupational therapy and activity team at the unit.
We are seeking an innovative practitioner, able to drive service development, manage a complex caseload, and support the leadership within the occupational therapy and activity team on Fern ward.
