The Craven District is a very beautiful part of the Trust much of which is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park but also includes a number of market towns. The team base in Skipton is served by good rail and road links and free parking is available on site.

Main duties of the job

better lives, together

The postholder will have a structured and split working week in their weekly timetable, to ensure that they will be supporting one of the two teams on dedicated days (or sessions) and not expected to support the other team on those (unless requested in very extreme circumstances).

The role of the SAS doctor in the OPMH service will be to provide support to the Craven Memory assessment and Treatment Service (MATS) and supporting service users under the CMHT stream (who will either have an established diagnosis of Dementia or non- dementia related psychiatric illness). Service users will either be seen in a clinic or as home visits. Support may rarely be given to seeing patients very well known to the Team on the Airedale Hospital acute wards.
