An exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified clinician as a Autism/ADHD Assessing Clinician - Senior Nurse/Social Worker or Allied Health Professional, has arisen within our Bradford and Airedale Neurological Development Service (BANDS) due to securing extra investment to develop the autism assessment arm of the service.
The service has recently streamlined its autism assessment pathway which will be further refined following the extra investment.
The applicant should be appropriately trained in ADOS or DISCO, however training may be considered in these areas should the candidates experience in autism be relevant.
The successful applicants will be working within a full MDT which encompasses the assessment of ASC. And the assessment and treatment of ADHD.
Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the Bradford & Airedale Neurodevelopment Service providing specialist and multidisciplinary assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions (ASC, ADHD).
- To support the delivery of personalised, holistic and evidenced based assessment utilising specialist knowledge and skills within the MDT.
- To support the service in providing consultation and training to other services and stakeholders promoting awareness and skilling the workforce.
- To support the service in developing care plans based on the assessment focussed on the range of individual needs of the service user.
- To support the service in facilitating safe transition of the service user and their families post diagnosis into appropriate primary or secondary care services.
- To develop and sustain partnership working with community agencies and facilities to promote inclusion, awareness and onward support..
