An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Bradford and District Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. We are seeking to recruit a number of professionally qualified practitioners to further develop and grow our community CAMHS team service.

You will be working in a community based multi-disciplinary team delivering a service to children, young people and their families in a supportive and lively team, where differences in training are respected and valued. You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service.

Main duties of the job
1. Job Purpose:To contribute to the development and provision of services to children and youngpeople with complex mental health needs. This will include assessing, planning anddelivering care packages both within groups and also individually and working as partof a multidisciplinary team.

To make a comprehensive assessment (including risk assessment) identifyingneeds, based on the interpretation of complex facts and information. This may include working withinterpreters, play skills with a young child and adapted language for young peoplewith learning differences. To adopt an investigative approach to therapeutic work. To ensure Bradford and Airedale Child Protection Guidelines and procedures arefully understood by self and others with whom the professional may come intocontact. To ensure the safety needs of the child are met at all times and take appropriateaction when the child is felt to be at risk. To actively promote user/carer involvement in all aspects of care planning anddelivery whilst respecting the rights cultural needs capabilities and wishes of theindividuals concerned. To maintain comprehensive clinical notes and records in line with BDCT andCAMHS standards. To share information, skills and experience with colleagues. To make sound professional judgements whilst handling sensitive informationwithin the framework of confidentiality. Keep up to date with recent developments in clinical practice and as a resultprovide evidence-based interventions. Contribute to the formulation and review of CAMHS policies and protocols asdirected. Contribute to the formulation of CAMHS standards and audit of practice. Contribute to the initiation and implementation of change and improvement inservice, in full liaison with other professionals.4.
