Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist or CBT therapist to join the South and West Community Mental Health Team either at 0.6wte or combined with a 0.4wte vacancy in our Aire and Wharfe CMHT. The post holder will be responsible for join clinical leadership (with another psychological therapist) of the psychological therapists in the South and West Team as we embed greater presence of psychological thinking and approaches in the MDT and support the delivery of the NHS Transformation of the Workforce. The post holder will work as an embedded member of the multi disciplinary team and will be passionate about supporting formulation, reflective trauma informed practice and direct therapeutic work. We are seeking a post holder who is already an experienced accredited CBT therapist or clinical psychologist with a passion for working with people with a range of severe and enduring mental health needs, but particularly psychosis to increase access for diverse and marginalised communities to access psychological therapy. CBTp training will be available where needed.

Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist evidence based psychological assessment, formulation & therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on psychological therapies.
- Provide clinical consultation and advice to healthcare professionals across all localities.
- Support adherence to relevant NICE guidance and clinical governance arrangements.
- To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area.
- Work with the Team/Clinical Manager on service development, leading research and development activities.
