Job summary

The Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven MyWellbeing IAPT Service is looking to recruit a Step 2 Clinical Lead, to join the well-established leadership Team.

The Clinical Lead will be responsible clinical leadership, supervision , and advice on psychological therapies within the service. You will also lead on service developments, research and audit, clinical governance and ensure the current in-house CPD package is maintained.

You should have experience of working in an IAPT service, and have knowledge of the challenges this faces.

The position is full time (37.5 hours) and will require the successful post holder to travel across the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven District.

Main duties of the job

Job Purpose:

  • Provide specialist evidence based psychological therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on psychological therapies.
  • Provide clinical consultation and advice to healthcare professionals across all localities.
  • Support adherence to relevant NICE guidance and clinical governance arrangements.
  • To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area.
  • Work with the Team/Clinical Manager on service development, leading research and development activities

  • Doctorate level training in clinical or applied psychology, as accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence.
  • or Post graduate CBT training AND Accreditation from a recognised Psychological Therapy body

Desirable

  • Undertaken post-qualification further training in a specialised area of psychological practice e.g. neuropsychology, EMDR, DBT Leadership training.
  • BABCP Trainer and or Supervision Accreditation

Experience

Essential

  • Significant IAPT experience and knowledge
  • Application of evidenced based specialist psychological therapies relevant to the clinical service.
  • Application of specialist psychological therapy within individual and group modality.

Desirable

  • Involvement in innovative clinical practice
