Main duties of the job

Using Clinical knowledge/expertise, providing a high quality standard of skilled care to service users based on a full assessment of the service users needs.

Provide support and care for service users within a community setting.

They will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, and will have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provision.

Be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training and advice needs of junior registered and unregistered staff, and ensure that issues of equality, diversity and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation.

Promote and role model effective communication minimising risks to service users and the organisation.

Liaise with management regarding any issues that may occur during shift and act according to local policy

  1. To act in a professional manner and as a role model to other staff members
  2. Ensure all documentation adheres to the Trusts documentation standards
  3. To encourage recovery, discovery and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management
  4. Being able to lone work and travel to service users home
  5. Ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept which comply with the Trust policy and NMC guidance, reporting on any issues as appropriate
