Job summary
This role could be a Band 5 Associate Sexual Health Advisor or a Band 6 Sexual Health Advisor depending on experience.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the busy and friendly Health Advisor team at the iCaSH Lime Tree Clinic in Cambridge.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sexual Health Advisor to join our team in Cambridge. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in Sexual Health and Contraception and ideally have proven experience of sexual health advising.
We also encourage applications from anyone with relevant experience looking to start their career in sexual health advising and who is willing to train, initially starting as a association sexual health advisor.
You must have a strong team-working ethic, as well as experience and skills relating to sexual health, audit, research, training, education and service development.
The position is full time (37.5 hours), but we will consider a job share for the right candidates.

Main duties of the job
To manage a caseload of patients requiring Sexual Health Advisor contact within the service.
To provide advice, support, information, education, treatment and health promotion to patients diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, herpes, syphilis, HIV and hepatitis B & C.
To manage and oversee the results of tests undertaken within the service and carry out robust partner notification, to ensure the attendance and treatment of contacts.
To initiate and participate in clinical audits
To initiate and participate in service development and research, and demonstrate a commitment to clinical governance
To provide advice and support to clinical colleagues about delivering best practice to HIV
To support the safeguarding lead in their activities
