Job summary

We are looking for two friendly individuals with initiative and a positive approach to work as part of our Business Support Team based at Redgrave Gardens Children and Young Peoples Centre and at Liverpool Road Health Centre in Luton.

This will be to undertake a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship within 12 months to develop skills, knowledge and experience in all relevant aspects of administration including providing an efficient and effective administrative and customer support service.

Main duties of the job

You will ensure provision of an effective and efficient administration office and reception to Children's Community Health Services in Bedfordshire and Luton.

Assist with booking appointments for clinical staff.

Maintain electronic and paper records which may be confidential and of a sensitive nature.

Assist with answering phone calls from patients, GPs, and other services.

Respond to emails from patients, GPs, and other services.

Support the teams with inputting information on to a patient database called SystmOne.

Send out letters via post or SystmOne.

Cover reception.

Welcome guests.

Distribution of internal and external post including courier and deliveries.

Essential

  • Good general standard of education including English and Maths qualifications or willing to gain Level 1 English and Maths functional skills as part of apprenticeship

Desirable

  • 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above

Experience

  • Experience using computer with keyboard and mouse
  • Use of Microsoft Word or similar Programmes
  • Communicating with a range of people by phone and in person

Desirable

  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Have had some work experience; paid, unpaid, voluntary, school work experience placement
  • Use of Microsoft Excel
