Job summary

As a provider of services across the Eastern Region Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is an organisation that listens, values and engages with its staff. Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to continue the leadership of our ambitious Speech and Language service in Norfolk and Waveney, building upon progress and understanding the benefits of integrating with our current commissioned services. You will have extensive and robust general management skills, with a proven ability to manage complex situations and provide both challenge and support through change. It is important that you have strong communication skills in order to liaise with key stakeholders, service users, internal and external leaders and agencies.

  • oDegree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • oHCPC registration
  • oEvidence of continuous professional development and its application
  • oPost graduate level training/qualification in relevant clinical and/or management field or able to demonstrate equivalent experience to masters level

Desirable

  • Working towards or achieved Master's qualification Leadership / Management courses Membership of Professional Body and/or Special Interest Group

Experience

  • oRecent NHS management experience at a senior level
  • oKnowledge of relevant legislation general NHS processes, policies and current strategies and performance framework
  • oExperience of successfully managing human resources, financial management, performance and quality issues
  • oSuccessfully leading a team of multidisciplinary staff
  • oExperience of developing and implementing a culture change which improves performance and outcomes
  • oInfluencing, persuading and negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults
