Clinical Director, Children and Young People's Services (Medical & Dental Consultant Grade or Band 8d dependent on professional registered qualification)

Full-time with negotiated split between clinical leadership & clinical duties

We are recruiting a Clinical Director for the innovative services we deliver for parents, carers, babies, children, young people & families across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough & Waveney. Rated "Outstanding" by CQC with annual budget of £139 million, the Trust's vision is to provide high quality care to the diverse communities we serve to make their lives better. This is a new post to bolster clinical leadership across the Trust & drive service improvement.

Depending on the background of the successful applicant, the Trust will consider arrangements for clinical practice to complement the clinical leadership aspects.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Director will work in partnership with the Director of Children and Young People's Services to take joint accountability for the management, leadership and outcomes of the children and young people services Trust wide.

The role will take responsibility for the strategic development of clinical services and models within the Trust and with partner organisations. They will provide clinical and professional leadership and ensure robust systems of clinical governance are in place in all services ensuring that all clinicians are aligned with the Trust's objectives and are working in effective multi- disciplinary/ multi-professional/agency teams.

Provide clinical leadership within all services in the Children and Young People's division including the provision of clinical leadership and direction to clinical leaders (medical, nursing, AHP and Psychological Professions)
