Job summary
In this role you will be an integral part of the corporate governance function to maintain the delivery of high standards of corporate governance.
You will support the governance arrangements across the Trust by ensuring that effective arrangements are in place for supporting the Trust Board, sub-committees and Directors of the Board.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute to the development of Trust-wide corporate governance strategies, policies and guidance to promote 'best practice' and consistency across the Trust.
You will be the first point of contact for all corporate governance queries ensuring they are recorded in line with Trust policies and appropriate actions are taken as quickly as possible and escalate where necessary.

Job responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all corporate governance inquiries.
- Provide support to the Director of Governance and Service Redesign and the Assistant Director of Corporate Governance.
- Provide support to the Chair and Non-Executive Directors including support for projects related to the effective governance of the organisation.
- Contribute to the development of Trust wide corporate governance strategies, policies and guidance to promote best practice and consistency across the Trust.
- Coordinate the Board / committees agendas and papers in liaison with the Assistant Director of Corporate Governance.
- In liaison with the Assistant Director of Corporate Governance, have responsibility for drafting the calendar for all Board, sub-committees and Executive meetings including sending out meeting requests.
- Manage the forward planner anticipating possible needs by remaining informed of forth coming activities and developments.
- Maintain the Trusts statutory registers and public disclosure documents, ensuring compliance with legislation and standing orders.
- Produce the risk register for the Trust Board and sub-committees for each meeting.
- Support the Board and sub-committees self-evaluation process and produce analysis to aid the Trust Board development.
