A very exciting opportunity has arisen! We now have a permanent band 5 post available in Huntingdon and Doddington. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Band 5 to join our welcoming, passionate and forward-thinking Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team.
This post is for a Band 5 physiotherapist, either experienced or newly qualified, looking to develop their career within MSK Physiotherapy in a dynamic and forward thinking, supportive team. We are looking for a clinician who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, likes working in a team and wants to provide the best they can to their patients. You will receive regular mentorship and clinical supervision to ensure that you maximise your personal potential within our team.This vacancy location is Hinchingbrooke Hospital/Doddington Community Hospital - Cambridgeshire.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be required to perform a physiotherapeutic assessment of adults with diverse MSK conditions, to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver an individual treatment program.
- He/she will hold their own caseload working without direct supervision.
- Supervision takes the form or regular formal training, case review sessions, peer review and observed sessions.

- To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients making use of clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques.
- To be responsible for the selection, implementation and evaluation of physiotherapy programmes, either individually, or in a group setting, based on a sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment skills.
- To work within trust guidelines and CSP guidelines, and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards monitoring the quality of own and others practice as appropriate.
- To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with CSP standards of practice.
- To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and to organise this effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
- To undertake clinical duties in a number of ways which may include face to face consultations, Physio Advice Line telephone consultations and group settings.
- To work along side band 4 Rehabilitation Instructors to deliver appropriate treatment and rehabilitation progression.
