We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual that is searching for an exciting challenge in a fixed term contract role within our Norfolk and Waveney children and young people's services.
The Digital Communications Officer position is a creative role that looks to make the most of existing talents and help build new ones. By exposing the successful candidate to a wide range of creative and digital disciplines, we can offer an interesting and varied workload.
Main duties of the job
The Communications Team plays a vital role in developing, implementing and evaluating vibrant digital communication strategies and plans to support the successful delivery of the Trust's and Integrated Care System strategic objectives.
Based in Norwich (with opportunities for hybrid/flexible working) the post we are recruiting to will provide digital communications support, with an emphasis on innovative creative design to support our our Norfolk and Waveney children's health services and our Just One Norfolk digital platform.

Key duties will be
Creating of vibrant content including infographics/graphics, illustrations, animations, films, website/article/blog content, digital events and photographic collateral.
Work constructively with an incredible variety of professionals to shape designs and consult them on communication materials.
Creatively develop and experiment with new ways of marketing messages and tracking success through digital metrics.

Job responsibilities
Work with communication colleagues, the Norfolk and Waveney digital lead and team, service leads, project leads, partnership members and co-production teams to achieve digital and communication objectives set out in related service programmes and promotional strategies. This will include the design and production of infographics/graphics, illustrations, animations, films, website/article/blog content, digital events and photographic collateral.
Produce vibrant and engaging collateral for traditional marketing and digital campaigning. Ensuring these materials are in line with NHS identity, CCS NHS Trust and Norfolk & Waveney children and young peoples branding and accessibility requirements. Liaising with partners and colleagues to ensure key messages are presented using a variety of media and to a range of external audiences.
Make the most of digital tools and traditional approaches to creatively develop new ways of marketing messages and tracking success through digital metrics. Be an advocate to make digital accessible for all. Help interpret communications data such as google analytics and social media metrics to quantify their value.
Proactively contribute to social media and digital channels, promoting positive messages about aligned services and encouraging two-way communication with target audiences.
Support the development of the Just One Norfolk digital platform and other digital and communication priorities. Work with Communications Team and Digital Team colleagues to design new content, ensure information is accurate, quality assured and up to date - recognising these platforms as primary information sources for relevant audiences.
Maintain and develop an active stakeholder database and network of colleagues that can share messages with appropriate audiences. Regularly search for new professional contacts, community influencers, social media groups, social media influencers as well any other online communities.
Work with clinicians and practitioners within aligned services and programmes to develop positive media coverage and raise reputational awareness. Help respond to general media contacts in line with agreed media protocols. Contribute to the management of press conferences, media interviews, photo-calls and visits and ensuring effective media monitoring.
Support Emergency Planning communication arrangements, taking an active role in responding to any major incident within Norfolk and Waveney.
Work constructively with all members of the communications team to ensure, as a team, we cover peaks and troughs in workload and maximise the potential of all our external and internal communications.
