Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust (DIHC) is the first Integrated Care Provider in the country. It was launched in April 2020 following a period of development and integrates primary care with community services within the Dudley healthcare system. Our core aim is Dudley First, community where possible and hospital where necessary, and our purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population in Dudley.
Main duties of the job
An extensive & detailed list of the main duties for this post can be found on the attached job description however to provide an insight into this post, a medical receptionist could be expected to undertake the following:
- Check in patients and deal with any queries they may have in a professional manner.
- Answer the telephone, take down as much information as possible and transfer any calls to the relevant colleges if needed. E.G referral queries to the secretary.
- Booking appointments in the relevant clinics, including using my own common sense to manage the urgent appointment slots and what queries are more urgent.
