Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an 8a Psychologist Practitioner to join our service at Coventry and Warwickshire. Development opportunities at band 7 are also available.
This is a full time, permanent role and the successful candidate will become part of a growing and thriving CAMHS eating disorders out patient service. There will be opportunities to become involved in service development and delivery across a number of initiatives and we would seek to work with youto develop your interests within the whole eating disorder pathway (CAMHS out-patient, intensive outreach and ARFID).
We are looking formotivated and committed psychologists for this band 8a post, or to apply for it as band 7 development post with the opportunity to progress to a band 8a via a supported process of professional development. We are able to offer you flexibility around working patterns, hours and location across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist psychology service to children and young people and families with complex and severe eating disorders (ED). Clinically, the post-holder will be responsible for individual case management and will be expected to conduct highly specialist psychological assessments, produce highly complex formulations, and deliver direct therapeutic work. They will also provide specialist advice and consultation to a range of multiagency professionals and non-professional carers, and utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
