Adolescent (CAMHS) Service 11yrs - 18yrs

Most of our service users have mild to moderate learning disability and or ASD with complex needs and additional mental health problems who can display the extremes of challenging behaviour. Within our secure services, service users will have committed a range of offences.

These services are highly specialised, so we are looking for kind, caring and compassionate individuals who are enthusiastic and willing to support their colleagues in developing the team to enable the delivery of expert care to these patient groups with a commitment to supporting and advocating for people with a learning disability and/or ASD.

If you do have care experience, but no care certificate, you will be expected to complete the care certificate within 12 weeks of commencing your post and will be paid a Band 2 until you have completed the care certificate.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the provision of support and care under the guidance of a qualified nurseand therapist, for patients with health and social care needs, on the unit or whensupporting patients in the community.This is achieved over a 24-hour period on a rota system and includes days, nights,weekends, bank holidays (including Christmas and New Year)
