We are in an exciting position to be able to offer an opportunity for a band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Children's Therapy team.

If you are a Physiotherapist that is dedicated to supporting children and their families to reach patient centred goals, working alongside a wide MDT including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language therapy, Nursing, Community Paediatrics, Social Care and Voluntary organisations, then this is the post for you.

The postholder will join a dynamic, innovative and supportive service that offer a variety of areas of specialism- paediatric MSK, early years, school age, special schools, CPIP, respiratory and neonatal services to children and families across Coventry.

Main duties of the job

To effectively manage a caseload of clients with health and physiotherapy needs based on the nature, complexity and urgency of each individual case.

To plan and provide physiotherapy in consultation with other colleagues and work in a range of settings as appropriate (e.g. clients home, school, health centre).

To adopt a family centred or client centred approach to therapy, collaborating with clients (and/or carer(s) where appropriate) in all aspects of the therapy process (assessment, planning, evaluation, reporting).

To select and conduct specific specialist physiotherapy assessments, addressing the physical, needs of clients.

To respect the dignity and preferences of clients and obtain written consent to therapy in accordance with departmental and trust guidance.

To apply profession specific treatment approaches and effective clinical reasoning skills to therapy (e.g. neurodevelopmental, Bobath).

To utilise individual and/or group work skills as appropriate in order to achieve agreed therapeutic goals.

To monitor, evaluate and modify therapy using appropriate physiotherapy outcome measures to ensure effectiveness and demonstrate efficacy of therapy.
