Rise Core Specialist mental health service has a unique and exciting new opportunity for individuals who want to develop their leadership skills to step into a leadership role for 12 months. Due to the expansion of teams within the 3 localities it has been identified there is a need for additional operational management. The role will work alongside existing team leads and will provide the day-to-day management of the team within the specified locality . You will be providing management supervision, leadership within the service and within the system around children and families.
We are looking for people to apply who have a clear passion to want to make a difference, are motivated and enthused about working with young people and families as well as having a passion to lead a multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
- Responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the identified team, including patient, team activity, performance, quality and staffing matters.
- To contribute to the delivery of the transformational change programme for the Child and Family Services business unit, particularly through the development of a more integrated, multi-professional workforce;
- To support the delivery of child & family focused services, against agreed performance and quality targets and within budget, whilst delivering agreed cost improvements.
- Management of staff;
- Contribute to effective partnership working with key external services, such as social care, the acute sector and key third sector organisations, to enable the delivery of shared outcomes;

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior supervisory level
- Relevant qualification or significant experience in clinical children's field - mental health, neurodevelopment, learning disability
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate and present complex information to a variety of internal and external audiences
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Strong understanding of national policy in relation to health services for children and young people
- Good analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions from combinations of qualitative and quantitative information sources and present in a concise manner.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions, to problem solve and respond to sudden unexpected demands

- Experience of implementing new pathways of care
- Demonstrable experience of driving service improvements
- Experience and understanding of safeguarding
- Experience of developing and maintaining monitoring systems to measure team performance or quality
