This is a new post and would suit either a current Band 5 OT or a newly qualified OT who is looking to develop or learn new skills in the area of learning disabilities. During the rotation, they will work alongside/under the supervision of experienced Occupational Therapists who are able to provide support and clinical guidance to them.
The successful applicant will be willing to develop their skills and knowledge around working with people with a Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). They will be passionate to take on new challenges and innovative in helping to support the senior OTs to develop services. Experience of working in both a community setting and in-patient setting is beneficial but not essential.
