Based at Swanswell Point, Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry.

Do you want to be part of a brand-new service as part of Coventry and Warwickshire's Transformation of Community Mental Health Services?

We are developing a new team to work with patients who have mental health needs with associated forensic risks.

The team will aim are to support those with a history of being in prison or secure services and doing preventative work for those at risk of prison or secure services due to their mental health.

The service is being developed in conjunction with health, social care, statutory and voluntary sector partners to have an integrated service with partnership working.

Our new team is taking shape, and we want this to be an integrated multi-agency and multi-disciplinary service. We are currently proposing a model of OT, Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Worker, Voluntary sector, support workers, peer workers as well as dual diagnosis specialists around substance misuse and a social care funded autism post that will support the team.

The successful applicant will work alongside the transformation clinical leads to develop the service and begin to pick up a specific relevant clinical caseload, and provide evidence based interventions as well as liaising with other agencies such as MAPPA, Ministry of Justice, probation, police etc. You will have access to the existing forensic specialist risk and formulation groups that take place in the Recovery Team and will be supported by the team managers. A comprehensive training plan will be put in place for the team.

We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced individuals who can work confidently on their own as well as being a team player. Good communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as knowledge of mental illness and forensic awareness. We also are looking for people who can demonstrate the Trust's vision and values in practice, and are motivated to be involved in innovation and service development.

We encourage staff development, and you will be supported throughout your supervision and appraisal process to develop your skills and reach your potential.
