Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Intensive Support Team (IST) and Enhanced Support Team. You will be at the forefront of supporting our people in times of crisis, working collaboratively alongside families and carers.

In the IST, you will work with Team Leads to provide supportive and visible operational leadership for the child and adult Intensive Support Teams, delivering specialist interventions designed to avoid an admission and provide care closer to home. In the Enhanced Support Service for Children and Adults, there are 4 beds which are used to support individuals in the community who are at risk of a specialist hospital admission.

You will also be a key member of the management team within Community Services, contributing to the overall direction and management of the Learning Disabilities and Autism Directorate. You will support the delivery of the transformational change programme across the Directorate and wider system.
