SPECIALTY DOCTOR/TEACHING FELLOW IN COMMUNITY ADULT PSYCHIATRY
Based at The Railings, Rugby
1 x Post (10 PAs)£50,373 - £ 78,759 per annumThis is a replacement community-based post for a full time Specialty Doctor in General Adult Community.
Psychiatry primarily working in a specialist psychosis team (Recovery and Early intervention) 0.5 and as a Teaching Fellow 0.5.
This post will give an excellent opportunity to develop teaching skills in leading lectures, and other forms of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching by developing and applying innovative and appropriate teachingtechniques alongside supporting the teaching objectives of the Trust and Medical School(s) we collaborate and work with.

Main duties of the job
The Post-holder's primary activities will involve assessing and managing new and follow-up patients referred to Community Early intervention and Recovery teams along with medical student teaching which is very muchintegrated into the clinics and the post holder is expected to deliver teaching and training of the medical students during their clinics.
The Post-holder will be actively involved in shaping and improving the service offered in the community to best meet the needs of users and carers.
The post is based upon 10 programmed activities (PA's) a week, 7.5 for direct clinical care and 2.5 for supporting professional activities.
This post may include participation in the non-resident second on-call out-of-hours rota on a 1 in 8 basis will be remunerated at 2% of basic salary plus time and one third of basic salary in respect of unpredictableemergency work which will be reviewed annually.
We are looking for experienced individuals with four (4) years full time postgraduate training (or equivalent) gained on part time or flexible basis), three (3) years' experience in Psychiatry and some experience ofworking in community-based services. The post holder will need to be Section 12(2) approved or be eligible for approval and include full GMC Registration.
