Eating Disorder Nurse (Home Treatment) Band 6
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
RISE, the mental health and wellbeing service for children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire, is setting up a new offer within its eating disorder service. The Home Treatment offer, a brand new service, will deliver care in our young people's homes, where they often feel most comfortable and where we can get maximum input from their family. We are seeking applicants to several new roles, including Nurses, Support Workers, a Team Lead and a Waiting List Co-Ordinator.
Main duties of the job
We know that some young people find an inpatient environment intimidating and that admission, and later discharge, from these facilities can complicate the transition back into their day-to-day home life. By meeting with and helping young people at home where possible, we will prevent unnecessary admissions and see better outcomes for the families we work with. The new Home Treatment offer will primarily support young people around mealtimes and will be guided by their family, tailoring help to fit around their life and needs. Supporting loved ones to understand the eating disorder and techniques they can use to manage difficulties around meals will be central to the team's work. Building trust and relationships with young people and their families will therefore be critical for the staff involved. This new team represents a major growth and investment in RISE's eating disorder service but to make it happen, we need passionate, dedicated people to join us!The team will be based in Coventry and travel expenses will be covered. Given the flexible nature of the new service, the opportunity of flexibility for team members will be embedded in the roles.
