Job summary
The Birches Respite Team are part of the Children and Young People's Community Nursing service. A vacancy has arisen within the Respite Team for an experienced paediatric nurse. This role offers a valuable opportunity to be part of an innovative service, develop your professional expertise and make a difference where it matters.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in caring for children with complex health needs and in particular long-term ventilation. Community experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working in ITU or a high dependency unit would be valuable. Good communication skills are essential. Problem solving, ability to work independently as well as working as part of a large and diverse team are all characteristics we are looking for in applicants.
The successful candidate will be supported in the role by a clinical lead for continuing care, a clinical education team and clinical nurse specialists as well as the operational management team. You will benefit from ongoing professional development and support via clinical and managerial supervision.
