We are building an ambitious new Primary Care-based Mental Health & Well-being Team
There are opportunities for Band 6 ARRS Primary Care Specialist Mental Health Practitioners to work in our 5 locality Primary Care place-based teams in Warwickshire North which includes Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone, Coleshill and Kingsbury.
This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic people to join us and build on the existing multi-disciplinary PCN (Primary Care Network) teams to support the mental health and well-being needs of local communities.

This is an ideal post for those professionals who are proactive and passionate about team working, innovation and providing a high-quality holistic approach, and are interested in getting to know a community in a primary care environment.
You will be employed by Coventry and Warwickshire and Partnership Trust but be embedded within a group of GP practices with a focus on supporting local patients living across North Warwickshire.
Roles include:
- Mental Health Nurses Band 6
- Mental Health Social Workers Band 6
- Mental Health Occupational Therapists Band 6
Main duties of the job
These local teams will work in partnership with higher acuity mental health services (delivered in this area by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust), offering care at the point of need which suits individual patient needs. Each team will work together with support from their practices, to ensure that ongoing development and training is fundamental to delivering the best care they can.
We are looking to recruit to the right people to develop the five locality-based teams across the area.
These posts are directly patient facing, so you will have a meaningful impact on improving the access, experience and outcomes for service users on a daily basis. Of course, it is really important that you have impressive communication and engagement skills which will help build the team and respond to the needs of both patients and the practices you will work with.

Qualifications
Essential
- A good standard of education including minimum GCSE Grade C and above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Registered professional qualification (RMN/Social worker/Occupational Therapist)
- Evidence of an active interest in further professional development
- Teaching qualification ENB 998 (or equivalent)?
- Attendance in Significant courses relevant to Mental health for example in respect of therapeutic interventions, community MH specialist training?
Knowledge and skills
Essential
- Relevant experience working with individuals or professional groups
- Knowledge and experience in Mental health community services including, needs and interventions required for routine referrals and to have a theoretical knowledge of this.
- Highly developed clinical skills with an in-depth knowledge of mental health assessment and current practice
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of patients' rights within the Care Act / Mental health act and within confidentiality legislation in order to comply with the requirements of relevant legislation and local information governance policies and codes of practice and the Section 75 agreement
- Ability to work across services and organisations
- High level of specialist knowledge for assessment and review of patients
- Ability to lone work and manage clinical caseload and prioritise as required
- To be able to maintain boundaries within working role
- Risk management
- Good understanding of what is available in the locality for people who are displaying emotional distress within primary care
