Job summary

This role is 22.5 hours per week.

Are you ready to be part of something extraordinary? Are you passionate about working with babies and their families in neonatal care?

Do you have the drive and determination to be with us from the beginning to shape our new service?

Are you working in Neonatal care and looking for an opportunity to step up into a leadership role, helping to shape and develop something innovative and new?

This position is a Senior role within the team, and you will therefore have the drive and determination to collaborate with other Senior AHP Neonatal Lead AHP's to succeed. One thing for sure is that you will be starting this together as a senior clinical team and can provide support and encouragement to each other.

Main duties of the job

Due to significant national investment into the delivery of Neonatal Care for AHPS, supported by the West Midlands Perinatal Network, we are setting up an innovative system wide neonatal AHP service model. We are looking for leaders in their profession to deliver strategic direction and clinical expertise, creating the best start for every neonatal journey.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is looking to appoint a team of Neonatal Allied Health Professionals (AHP's) to develop and lead the service across multiple Trusts in the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS). This includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics. The Neonatal AHP Team will be responsible for delivering equitable, high quality, evidenced based practice across the LMNS which will integrate across hospital sites at UHCW, Warwick and George Eliot.

About us

The Children's Allied Health Professionals have an open and sharing culture to support the development of local pathways. With effective AHP leadership and integration combined with an AHP team already working with neonatal populations, we can offer benefits of supervision, follow up/continuity of care, resilience, career opportunities and succession planning. We are also committed to support ongoing clinical and leadership development.

The Trust has a strong culture of co-production, with a very successful event for neonatal families having already taken place to design the service branding. With a Quality Improvement approach to innovation and service development, CWPT are a Global Digital Exemplar member, focusing on service improvement through high quality digital interfaces.

We need you to develop and shape this new service as it grows, ensuring that babies and families across the system receive the universal, targeted, and specialised services to suit their needs.
