ADHD NMP Nurse - Non Medical Prescriber
Full time, Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

We are looking for an energetic, motivated and highly organised Registered Nurse Prescriber with experience of working with children with ADHD.
You will be welcomed into a supportive, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working with CYP with ADHD.
The main focus of this post holder will be to effectively manage reviews and medication for CYP diagnosed with ADHD.
Strong links with psychiatry and admin are essential within this role, and therefore working independently but also part of a team is essential.
You will work within the Rise family in our ADHD pathway with close links to our psychiatrists. You will be provided with excellent supervision and support.

Main duties of the job
The role of the clinical nurse specialist within RISE will be to effectively manage and review CYP, this will include annual reviews.
The role will be to work within the medical ADHD clinic within RISE. The NMP will be responsible for medication and review of CYP as agreed and discussed with the consultant.
The post holder will:
- Undertake direct specialist clinical work related to ADHD medication
- Work within the parameters as directed by the specialist mental health service
- Tritation and medication review to CYP diagnosed with ADHD.
- Expectations of the post holder is to work within the current NICE guidelines for ADHD.
- To work alongside mental health services for Children's Specialist Mental Health.
- Being highly organised will be key to this post as you will independently (with some admin support) need to manage waiting lists, reviews and cases.
