Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work within the Coventry Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team.
Band 7 /8a preceptorship can be considered for newly qualified psychologists.
Band 7 - £43,742 - £50,056 pa / pro rata
Band 8a - £50,952 - £57,349 pa / pro rata
Hours: 37.5 (flexible part time hours can be considered)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Coventry Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team. The team works with people with complex mental health presentations. Psychological services staff are embedded within the Community Mental Health Team and we are therefore looking for someone who values and enjoys multi-disciplinary working and has a high level of understanding of the distinct contribution and added value that psychological approaches can make to the team.
If appointed to the band 7 role this will be a development post with progression to the Band 8a role upon the successful completion of competency requirements. It is expected that this will be achievable within a period of 18 months to two years and will be dependent on the experience of the successful candidate. Whilst these requirements are not met, the role will remain as a Band 7. Therefore we welcome applications from newly qualified clinical or counselling psychologists, including those expecting to complete their clinical training this year.

Main duties of the job
This would be an ideal post for a HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who in addition to developing their assessment and therapy skills is keen to expand their experience of group-work, psychological consultation, staff training and supervision. The post holder will join a friendly and well-established team of psychologists, CBT therapists, psychological therapists, an assistant psychologist and mental health and wellbeing practitioners.
**The service is currently based at Tile Hill Primary Care Centre but will shortly be moving to Swanswell Point in Coventry.

- Expertise and/or training in Clinical Supervision for doctorate level trainees as may supervise trainee clinical Psychologist
