South Warwickshire Recovery Team

Based at Ashton House, Leamington Spa

Do you want to be part of a supportive, forward thinking, positive and dynamic community psychosis team?

We have a vacancy for an experienced Community Mental Health Registered Professional, who would like to join our large team that works across South Warwickshire. The team works with service users with enduring psychotic illness.

Please note many Trust interviews are currently taking place through Microsoft Teams, this can be downloaded either through the App Store or Google Play for use on your phone/tablet.

Main duties of the job

For more information on this role please see the attached support information. This will give you a better overview of the job role and requirements.

As a Band 6 Care Coordinator in the team, you would have a variety of responsibilities.

These include:

Supporting non-qualified staff with relevant clinical issues.

Supporting the running of our well established clinics, and promoting healthy lifestyles for our patients

Supporting our duty desk for urgent patient enquiries

Being part of triaging and assessing new referrals

Line managing and professionally supporting peers and junior staff

Providing a unique professional perspective on the complex needs of our patient group

The caseload is complex and diverse, and to support our staff and service users, we utilise the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) and Recovery models to deliver multi-disciplinary responsive shared care, as the work is often unpredictable.

This allows staff to utilise the full range of skills and expertise in the team to support with their day to day work, so that they are never managing a complex situation alone and our patients receive the best care. A working knowledge / understanding of these models is preferable and will be assessed at interview. We are also developing skills in management of forensic cases and developing our use of standardised assessments to support this work.

About us

The team is supportive and close knit to enhance a positive working atmosphere and collaborative working.

You will receive regular support and supervision from the Management and Leadership team. Ensuring that staff are well supported is important in our team. We also welcome opportunities for staff to develop and this will be discussed throughout your time with the team. We encourage staff to utilise their own initiative in order to aid their own development.

The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion of which we are rightly proud. We have also been recognised both locally and nationally by receiving awards for the services we provide.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Services across the trust are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services. However you will be based in South Warwickshire.
