Specialist Dietitian - Mental Health Services
32 hours per week, permanent post
Are you interested in a dietetic career in the field of adult mental health? We are pleased to be able to recruit a band 6 specialist dietitian to join our team working within a specialist mental health and learning disabilities NHS Trust.

This exciting post provides an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills with adults with mental health difficulties, in a variety of settings across Coventry and Warwickshire. Whilst mental health experience is desirable, it is your ability to adapt and your transferable dietetic skills that are more important. Our service priority is to ensure the nutrition and hydration needs of our inpatients are adequately met through nutrition support. In addition, we work in partnership with a range of services to promote improved physical health for people with Mental Health conditions, with a strong focus on diabetes and improving nutritional balance. This post will initially have a mixed caseload of general mental health inpatients however will also offer opportunities to develop skills in specialist areas including learning disabilities and eating disorders.

Dietetic provision within CWPT is currently undergoing transformational change to enable further improvement of existing and development of new services therefore we hope to continue expanding our team in the near future. Working hours can be flexible and we encourage those seeking both full and part time hours to apply
The service has a strong focus on professional development. Dietitians are fully supported by the wider AHP family and professional, managerial and clinical supervision will be provided.
Travel between sites is necessary, so access to transport is essential.
