Recovery Team Occupational Therapist / Care Coordinator - Band 6

Full time / part time permanent roles available

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the South Warwickshire Recovery Team IPU 11-17. This team is proactive in embedding and utilising multidisciplinary roles to provide support and focused interventions for individuals suffering from Enduring Psychosis to Bi-polar. We hold case loads and work on duty as well. As a part of your role you will be expected to complete assessments that come into the trust.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team using evidence based approaches in the delivery of interventions. The candidate will also have the resilience and positivity to work with a challenging but also very rewarding client group This includes care coordinating a caseload of service users.

We are seeking candidates who have experience of working in mental health settings who are innovative, dynamic and are looking to develop their clinical skills. With the ongoing development of transformation of community mental health services, we will be looking to return to specific professional specialisms. This means you will be supported with lead occupational therapy supervision to retain your skills and to develop them.

Part of this role will include, occupational therapy (OT) assessments in patients homes, giving an OT specialised approach and perspective within the MDT.

Having a good general knowledge of the Mental Health Act is essential.

The successful candidate will receive support, managerial and professional supervision from the line managers. Peer support and CPD opportunities are also available and actively encouraged. The post is a substantive position.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential in this role.
