Main duties of the job

For more information on this role please see the attached support information. This will give you a better overview of the job role and requirements.

The team is very supportive and involves working closely with psychology, medical, social work, support work and nursing colleagues. This allows us to conduct joint and responsive interventions based on service user need and allows for the team to work closely within their own professional skill base.

Your caseload will be a mix of OT specific intervention, with some demand for care co-ordination, assessments and duty cover. As the OT demands of the team are so high, your caseload will be adapted to meet the needs of the OT service and wider team.

Staff are encouraged to bring their own ideas, and there are ongoing opportunities for developing group work. There will be opportunity to learn and utilise a range of skills such as sensory work, prescription of basic aids and adaptations, amongst other mental health specific OT interventions.

About us

You will receive support and supervision from the management team and professional supervision from the lead Occupational Therapist.

The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion of which we are rightly proud. We have also been recognised both locally and nationally by receiving awards for the services we provide.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

Subject to Parliamentary approval, from 1st April 2022 all NHS workers in England who have face to face contact with patients must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Only those with specified medical exemptions will be excluded from this requirement. Please consider this mandatory requirement when applying for this position.
