Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is one of the country's largest specialist providers of Learning Disability services, hosts the largest Training scheme in the country for Higher Trainees in Intellectual Disability Psychiatry, and is a provider of Mental Health and Community services in Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

This is a replacement post following internal reconfiguration. This is part of a team of two posts currently undergoing expansion with the development of a new all age neurodevelopmental service in the Trust.

The post will share responsibility for the adolescent inpatient service at Brooklands Hospital. The Adolescent Service provides comprehensive inpatient assessment and treatment for adolescents (12-18) who have a learning disability and other associated mental health and behavioural problems. The Service is based in Jade unit (12 beds) on the Brooklands Site. The service is commissioned through NHS England and admissions are through their referral process. It is one of only four NHS units nationally. The post holder will be expected to look after 6 of the inpatients.

The postholder will also provide psychiatric input to a community service for Children with a Learning Disability in North Warwickshire and Rugby working with community-based professionals and integrated with the local CAMHS services.
