Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) invites applications for a full time Consultant in Older Adult Psychiatry to join our Arden Mental Health Acute Team (AMHAT) providing comprehensive acute liaison in mental health services.

CWPT provides Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community services to over one million people living in Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull and seeing on average around 5000 patients every day. The post holder will work with a dedicated mental health liaison team based at the Caludon Centre. The service accepts referrals of patients of all ages over 16. There will be an expectation that the consultant will work flexibly across local acute sites when required. The AMHAT aims to optimise the physical and psychosocial wellbeing of individuals who present in an emergency or are admitted to acute hospitals. Located at South Warwick Hospital (SWFT), George Elliot Hospital (GEH) and University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) the AMHAT provides effective liaison between mental health services and emergency departments / acute inpatient wards.

Each post is based on a 10 PA job plan (7.5 PAs in Direct Clinical Care and 2.5 PAs in Supporting Professional Activities). The post also requires participation in a consultant on call rota with a frequency of approximately one in fifteen, with responsibility for both inpatients and community patients.
