Full time, Permanent Position
We are looking to recruit an experienced, dynamic Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join the Senor Leadership Team of the Learning Disability and Autism Directorate of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
It is an exciting time to join CWPT and the LD and Autism Directorate as we take the lead on system alliances in relation to LD and Neurodiversity, as the Directorate introduces many new psychological developments and widens the clinical establishment to include new psychological professions.
We are also actively involved in many multi-centre research trials focused on improving psychological therapies for people with learning disabilities and/or Autism and NHS-E pilots in relation to Autism diagnostic pathways and neuro-developmental liaison roles in mental health services. Psychological services are strongly valued in the Directorate and you will be a core member of the senior leadership and management team.
Please note many Trust interviews are currently taking place through Microsoft Teams, this can be downloaded either through the App Store or Google Play for use on your phone/tablet.
Main duties of the job
Suitable candidates will already hold a Consultant Clinical Psychologist position, have considerable clinical experience and demonstrate highly specialist psychological knowledge in the field of learning disabilities and/or neurodevelopmental services. They will have a thorough understanding of the national, regional and local context around transformational change in relation to inpatient and community learning disability services and neurodevelopmental services.
The postholder will have responsibility for professionally leading the other Consultant grade Psychologists in the Directorate and will provide clinical supervision to some of these and other Consultants within the Trust as appropriate. They will lead on Directorate wide projects that are psychological in nature such as Trauma Informed Care and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS). They will lead on developing the overall skill mix and new Psychological Professions roles within the Directorate. They will represent the Psychological Professions and bring robust psychological evidence and decision influencing knowledge to support Directorate level decisions, developments and processes.
