Staff Nurse - Band 5

We are seeking to recruit LD Nurses to join our dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for patients with Learning Disabilities. We are looking for experienced, newly qualified or soon to be Qualified LD nurses who are passionate about delivering high standards of care to adults or children who have a learning disability. The post holder will support the individual from the point of admission to discharge working a main nurse within an MDT team

New staff on each unit will be supported by a preceptorship programme and an effective mentoring framework.

Main duties of the job

To support the unit manager in the in patient environment to provide packages of care to service users, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Staff nurses are also required to act as nurse in charge of a shift

Amber unit - 12 bedded Assessment and treatment unit for male and females, Jade Unit - 12 bedded adolescent units both male and female,

Eden Unit - 15 bedded female low secure unit, Malvern Unit 12 bedded make low secure, Janet Shaw Unit - 15 bedded medium secure unit,

Rainbow Unit 3 bedded ASD beds and Sapphire unit 3 bedded individual care package beds.
