Part time Oral Health Promotion Lead - Band 6
As lead for the team, you will support OHP staff to deliver oral health in an engaging and interesting ways by providing the necessary training and management supervision. You will also provide the daily management support to the team and lead on appraising staff within the team.

Main duties of the job
As leader of the OHP team you will be responsible for overseeing the development of a schedule for delivering an extensive programme of work as set out by commissioners. This will include the development and delivery of oral health promotion programmes in partnership with Health Professionals, partner agencies and setting in Coventry. Evaluating, monitoring and reporting on performance form an important element of the role. To achieve this, you will need to use creative and innovative thinking to develop inspiring and informative oral health promotion programmes and interventions and have a good grasp of IT to capture qualitative and quantitative performance data.

To co-ordinate, monitor and develop oral health promotion activity and ensure it meets population needs based on epidemiological, demographic, cultural and dental indicators.
Working in partnership with and being accountable to the Clinical Lead of Community Dental Services (CCDS) and Operational management to support the delivery of an effective OHP programme.
Take responsibility for the effective leadership and supervision of the OHP staff and work with service management and leadership to implement agreed strategies to ensure service performance objectives are achieved.
