Job summary
We
are currently seeking a Community sister (band 6) to join our Community Nursing
Team for Durham locality based at
Chester le street. The team cover 8am until 9pm 7 days a week on a duty roster.
The role involves providing holistic nursing care to adult patients in their
own home or care home settings. Successful applicants will be required to hold
a first level nursing registration with the NMC, additional training for
non-District nurses will be via a 2 year apprenticeship subject to next
available funding .
Main duties of the job
The Community nursing team provide both planned and reactive care including
Urgent Community Response. As a district nurse/community sister you will
directly manage staff aligned to you, delivering hands on care and supporting
the team with training and senior clinical knowledge.
