Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic clinicians to join our team as a band 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about developing advanced clinical skills and contributing to high quality, patient centred care within a supportive and forward thinking service. We provide a fully supported training pathway designed to help you progress into a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner. You will receive supervision from experienced ACPs, Consultants, and members of the wider multidisciplinary team, along with protected time for both academic and clinical development. Main duties of the job

Under supervision and with increasing autonomy as you progress, you will perform comprehensive clinical assessments, undertake diagnostic reasoning, and contribute to the management of patients with undifferentiated and complex presentations. You will request and interpret investigations within your scope of practice and deliver safe, effective, person centred care as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will also participate in service development, quality improvement, teaching, and audit, while engaging in extended study.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
