Job summary
The
Reporting Radiographer will work within the established Radiographer Reporting
team to provide reporting services for projectional radiographs (MSK/
Chest/Abdominal examinations) and be responsible for their continuing
professional development.
Main duties of the job
To participate in a peer review audit to ensure radiographer
reporting standards are being maintained.
Supervise and support more junior staff helping maintain
adequate workflow to provide an efficient and effective service.
Support the workflow management daily to ensure the
provision of a high-quality imaging service within Radiology.
Actively participate in clinical audit and research.
To be proactive in
the implementation of recommendations from audit and completion of audit cycle.
Adheres to good practices of radiographic technique and
radiation protection, and to follow standard operating procedures and
authorisation processes accordingly.
To work closely with the Radiology Modality Manager(s) in
helping to plan and organise broad activities for the smooth day to day running
of the department and longer-term strategies.
Demonstrates safe use of medical devices/equipment through
the regular assessment of competency.
Maintain a high standard of patient care and quality of
service through good clinical practices.
Have a good working knowledge of Radiology
Computer Systems including Electronic Patient Records, Radiology Information
System, PACS and other department
