Community Services are looking to recruit a second Clinical General Manager within nursing services having been awarded a new contract. This is an exciting role supporting Nuring Community Services and ultimately working to ensure and improve service delivery and quality of care.
The role will work closely with the Associate Director of Nursing and other Clinical General Manager as well as with the matrons and teams within the care group and others both within and outside of the wider care group and Trust. The role will provide leadership and management and having overarching responsibility for the services it covers. The postholder will provide clinical advice and support, line management and will have key roles in relation to human resource management, financial management, business planning, service development and quality. Main duties of the job
Clinical General Managers are expected to work for the clinical and business success of their services and the Care Group as well as contribute to the corporate success of the Trust. This will include participation in the development of Care Group policies, operational plans as well as initiating change in services in line with Board decisions as directed by the Care Group Triumvirate. The post holder, as a member of a second tier triumvirate, will, with their Clinical Director and Matrons, ensure that the development of their services is congruent with evidenced best practice and the strategic direction of the Care Group and Trust

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
