We have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking x3 highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist's to join our therapy rehabilitation teams within the North and South locality.

Vacancies at the following bases:

Chester-Le-Street Community hospital.

Weardale Community Hospital

Richardson Community Hospital.

Applicants must be prepared to participate in a 6 day week service, covering bank holidays and Saturdays on a rota basis.

Main duties of the job

This post is for a band 5 physiotherapist full time.

The service will work over 6 days a week.

There are currently x2 vacancies within the North locality and x1 within the South locality.

The successful applicant will independently manage a caseload providing holistic, short term, goal led intervention following a comprehensive assessment. These patients will present with a wide range of problems and will allow you to develop your knowledge

To support assistant staff and to help with their development

Client Group: Adult rehabilitation and crisis management to community/ward based patient population within designated locality 365 days a year 0800 - 2000

To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, using investigative and analytical skills, to formulate individualised treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills, and utilising a wide range of treatment skills. Not directly supervised, but seek advice as and when required.

As an autonomous practitioner, to be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own clinical and non-clinical activity associated with individual patient care.

To delegate treatment tasks to unqualified staff inclusive of assistants and care support workers.

To plan and organise clinical activity, with appropriate time scheduling in order to complete all clinical and administrative duties including statistical record keeping.

To be responsible for the correct and safe use of the physical environment including equipment and to be responsible for the allocation of these resources.

To be responsible for clinical record-keeping in accordance with the guidelines for documentation and legal requirements.

To contribute to the supervision of undergraduate Therapists where placements within speciality areas have been designated as appropriate.
